Roads · Trails · Muddy start lines
A better-packed run.
The Runners Backpack is an independent running-gear publication built around a simple question: what is worth taking with you?
Our scope includes the things you carry during a run and the equipment you take to the event: running belts, hydration vests, packs, small essentials and the post-race change bag. Roads, trails and obstacle courses all belong here.
Useful choices, not a wall of products
We organise guides around the problem a runner is trying to solve. Fit, usable capacity, access and limitations matter more than a long specification list. Where an article is based on research rather than hands-on use, we say so.
A new chapter for a running domain
This domain has archived running-gear pages dating back to 2012. The current publication is a new project, with fresh content. We do not claim the former publisher’s experience, product tests or endorsements.
The site is currently edited by James Thompson. A fuller author biography will be added when verified details are available. Read our editorial policy and link disclosure.
