How we choose and explain kit
Research and testing are different
Our launch guides are researched buying guides, not hands-on reviews. They use current manufacturer information and checked retail listings alongside practical selection questions. We do not claim miles run, race experience or measured performance that we have not documented.
What a useful guide includes
- The carrying problem and intended use.
- Relevant fit, access and load considerations.
- Trade-offs and circumstances where the product may not suit.
- The exact model or retail variant where possible.
- A checked or updated date and relevant sources.
Our product language
A product mentioned in a guide is a starting point to investigate, not a guarantee of comfort or suitability. We do not publish fabricated star ratings or unsupported “best overall” awards. Prices, availability, dimensions and included accessories can change; check the selected listing before purchase.
Commercial independence
Affiliate links may fund the site once programmes are active. They do not justify inventing evidence or hiding a limitation. Paid sponsorship or supplied products will be disclosed where relevant. There are no claimed sponsored or supplied-product tests in the launch guides.
Images and corrections
Images are for visual context, not evidence of how a named product looks or performs. We will correct factual errors and revise guides when material product information changes. See contact for the current correction arrangements.
