If you’ve been reading the headlines lately then you may have taken some notice to a new study that shows pedestrians injuries and accidents has increased while wearing headphones.
While many people disagree with the study and still think it’s safe to run with headphones, we wanted to show you another cool option: Sonic Walk.
Sonic Walk Lightning Speaker Shoulder Band
If you’ve never heard of the Sonic Walk, that comes to no surprise. Even though it’s been out for a while it’s really only become popular in the UK. But what exactly is the Sonic Walk?
Essentially it’s a shoulder strap sound system. There’s two holsters, one on each strap. One side holds your iPhone, iPod or other MP3 player while the other side holds the main speaker (though there are speakers on both sides).
The back of the strap system has a blinking LED light for those who run at night or in non daylight hours. This is a great safety feature.
The straps are made out of a combination of neoprene and spandex, making it super light (less than 8 ounces empty), and very comfortable. If you don’t feel safe running with headphones you may feel safe with this portable speaker system. In addition it may be the perfect mate to go with your running waist pack.
